How to Become a Christian
You Can Know for Sure!
KNOW FOR SURE … ALL HAVE SINNED!
Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God”
ALL have sinned. ALL need to be saved. Do you realize YOU have sinned? Sin separates man FROM God. Salvation JOINS God and man together through Christ.
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death…” (spiritual death)
Sin’s payday is death—spiritual death! Unless man receives spiritual life in Christ, he will physically die and remain spiritually dead. Man will spend eternity (heaven or hell) based on how he left THIS LIFE spiritually.
KNOW FOR SURE … GOD LOVES SINNERS!
Romans 5:8 “But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us!”
Know for sure God loves you –He is on your side! God loves us and proved His love by sending His son to die FOR us. Christ paid the price for our sins!
John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: No one comes (can be saved) to the Father except through me.”
Christ is the ONLY means of Salvation. If man wants to go to heaven, he must receive Christ as his Savior.
KNOW FOR SURE … YOU CAN BE SAVED!
Romans 10:9 “If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe n your heart that God raised Him from the dead YOU WILL BESAVED.”
To be saved –TO KNOW FOR SURE - You must believe Jesus died for you on the cross, believe He was raised from the grave to be victorious over sin and death, and confess your sins to Him and invite Him into your life (heart).
KNOW FOR SURE … YOU CAN BE SAVED!
Romans 10:13 “For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord (prays for forgiveness) will be saved.”
Revelation 3:30 “Listen, I (Jesus) stand at the door (of your heart) and knock (wanting to come in). If anyone hears My voice (the Holy Spirit telling you to become a Christian) and opens the door (invites him into your life) I WILL come in and have fellowship with him, and he with me.”
Knowing that Christ is willing to save you, would you like to invite Jesus into your life?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I know that I’m a sinner and need your forgiveness. I believe You died for me and that You are alive today. I ask that You forgive me of my sins and come into my life. From this moment on, Lord Jesus, I trust You as my Lord and Savior; Thank You for saving me today. In Christ’s name. Amen!
KNOW FOR SURE … EXPRESS YOUR SALVATION!
Acts 2:41 “So those who accepted his message were BAPTIZED.” Baptism is NOT Salvation! Baptism is a public expression of your salvation experience. Baptism is an OUTWARD sign of an INWARD experience. Baptism shows on the outside (publicly) what Jesus has done on the inside (privately).
Romans 10:11 “Now the Scripture says, No one who believes on him (accepts Christ in his heart) will be put to shame.” (ashamed or
disappointed that they publicly professed Him) Have you publicly expressed your faith in Christ by following Him in Baptism? … Know for Sure!
KNOW FOR SURE … STOP DOUBTING!
Do you remember the time when you invited Jesus into your heart? Has there ever been a time when you asked Jesus to forgive you of your sins?
If your answer is “No” then please read the section “Know for Sure...All Have Sinned.”
If your answer is “Yes” but you still have doubts, then please read the following:
Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you are saved THROUGH FAITH and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift –not from works, so that no one can boast.”
Don’t judge your salvation by your works or deeds. You cannot be saved by being or doing –you are saved by confessing your sins to Christ and by inviting Him into your life. That’s all!
John 10:28 “I give them (those who invite Jesus into their hearts) eternal life, and they will never perish –ever! No one will snatch them out of My hand.”
STOP DOUBTING! START RELYING UPON YOUR FAITH IN GOD AND HIS ETERNAL PROMISE!
KNOW FOR SURE … RECOMMIT YOUR LIFE!
Rededication is a SERIOUS time of commitment and confession. Knowing you are saved, but wanting a closer walk with God, would you like to recommit your life to Christ?
1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Prayer: Lord, I confess my sins to you. I want to be everything You would have me to be. I want to live for You ad serve You the best way I know how. I recommit my life to You. Grant unto my the forgiveness of my sins and take my life for Your use. In Christ’s Name. Amen.
NOW YOU KNOW FOR SURE!
